Abstract

Organizational diagnosis is an analysis that assesses the areas that affect the achievement of strategic objectives within a current context. The applied methodology was a case study with a qualitative and descriptive approach. The contribution is to generate knowledge; prove, contrast and explain the praxis made inside the analysis unit, with the purpose of having a diagnosis that can transform the process of decision making. The free access tool on the Internet offered by Secretaría de Economía en México was applied to Hospital Civil de Culiacán located in Culiacán, Sinaloa, México. Strengths were identified such as: established organization chart, highly qualified and committed staff. In contrast, problems were detected in the areas of finance and human resources, due the communication barriers, the lack of training programs and financial analysis and planning. A series of measures are proposed to improve and strengthen the management of financial, material, human and technological resources.
