Financial impact of the insurance of risks of work in micro-enterprises of Ensenada, B. C.

Abstract

This  paper  describes  the  economic  impact on micro-enterprises and administrates the importance of their work risks with the purpose of decrease the premiums that covers Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social for this concept. This transversal research is implemented in Ensenada, Baja California. It was taken the information of 45 surveyed micro-enterprises that are affiliated in IMSS since their workers are  exposed  to  a  variety  of  work  risks  and to recognize the work care the employees received. The information analysis was made through descriptive statistic for each variable and it shows that 19 to 45 microenterprises have had work accidents and of these ones just 9 of them have ameliorate their work care in order to decrease the percentage of premium insurance. The negligence of risk care can impact negatively the financial balance of micro- enterprises in Ensenada. However is convenient to follow the appropriate recommendations to obtain the economic benefits to reduce costs.
