Abstract

The purpose of the research is to recognize the challenges that organizations in the Mexican textile artisan sector have faced in their digital entrepreneurship process, providing a greater understanding of the barriers that arise when adopting new technologies and digital strategies in an environment of global competition. Methodological design consists of a digital ethnographic study applied to six cases of organizations in the Mexican textile artisan sector for a period of a year and a half, as well as in-depth interviews. A content analysis was integrated through Atlas.ti software. The results disclose a series of obstacles and problematics faced by these organizations, such as lack of infrastructure or shortage of specialized knowledge. However, significant opportunities are also identified, such as free access to certain digital platforms and the development of skills in digital environments. In this sense, the research contributes to expanding knowledge about the craft sector in the context of growing digital integration.
