Consolidation opportunities for social based enterprises: the case of Baja California microenterprises

This paper analyzes a group of entrepreneurships of social base in the State of Baja California and the factors that influence their chances of survival in the market. It highlights the effect of educational level of micro entrepreneurs and the size of the company in relation to the opportunity for the enterprises to overcome the first three years of operation. The results show that micro entrepreneurs who possess the highest level of education are those who are more likely to abandon their business activity, in addition, business activities with at least one employee increases the probability of prevailing on the market, although moderately.
