The objective of this research is to analyze the current economic situation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Mexico and post-covid-19 informal trade. To answer the research question What is the current situation of the entities under study and informal commerce in Mexico, post covid-19?, the type of research is mixed, quantitative because it analyzes the data issued by official sources, such as INEGI about existing establishments and the representation of each state of the Mexican Republic in informal commerce and qualitative because it is based on the grounded theory, it contrasts with findings from other national and international research that speak of the current situation of the companies under study. The results obtained show: that the companies in question used informal trade to survive the pandemic. It is concluded that MSMEs are used to high economic turbulence and health pandemics such as covid-19 and that they will be experiencing the aftermath for several years, before reaching economic normality in the country.
