Variation in the perception of businessmen on the succession according to size and turning the family business

Family businesses have been an interesting sector for the economy, because according Gandarillas y Pineda (2011), in Mexico 90% of the companies are controlled by a family, hence the importance of knowing them and analyze them. In this research specifically addresses the issue of perception of managers of family businesses on the issue of succession, for which a comparison of group means in the rotation and size is classified performed the company. The aim is to determine whether there are variations in the perception of managers of family businesses in relation to the elements making up the succession and the different groups in which both the rotation and the size of the companies are classified. Company, family and property, and the application of the reliability of .862 was obtained with Cronbach Alpha: an instrument of Belausteguigoitia (2012) where three important elements for succession are shown as adapted. The results show that the perception of entrepreneurs in relation to the succession varies in two of the three elements of the succession, these being (1) company and (2) family depending on the business of the company, which did not happen with the element (3) property. In the case of company size perception of individuals does not vary in any of the elements of the sequence. For other studies it aims to increase the sample and determine the percentage by which valued each of these elements of the succession.
