Abstract

The collective memory of a society is generated through a series of traditions, norms, beliefs and values, consolidating what is known as social representation. This is understood as the process of construction and reconstruction of everyday life, of the cultural, symbolic changes in a society in space and time. The social representation of the company then it means the range of symbolisms that individuals built around the concept that somehow influence the way they face their insertion in the labor market. So, young people who need to be clear about what the concept of enterprise and work they handle, because their perception of these two categories will determine how they will face their professional development. The objective of this simple non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional study is to analyze the social representation of the company and work have students who are graduating from the Business School of the UPAEP. The results show that students have more than theoretical and  practical  knowledge  on  these  issues as well as a positive attitude and motivation towards both, however also they see the work as a burden; It found that women generally show a more favorable attitude towards work and business men available.
