Abstract

Corporate sustainability is a term that in the last years has been taking importance for the micro, small and medium companies (MSMEs) as a strategic option, with perspectives of management in the environmental care, social responsibility and financial sustainability. However for this to happen it is required that the employer, leader of these businesses focus their practices towards these perspectives. What is the profile of the entrepreneur MSMEs? And what are their sustainable development practices?

This paper presents a descriptive analysis of the profile of the entrepreneurs from the North Coast of Jalisco, México; goals and intentions of sustainability and sustainable development practices in the environmental, social and economic line in a sample of 400 MSMEs. Variables of gender, age, training, delegation, strategic orientation, number of employees among others are presented.
