The importance of promoting the internationalization of higher education as a fundamental agent for the development of academic human capital of UACYA-UAN

Globalization has caused competition at the economic, cultural, social and academic context, which has led higher education institutions to consider the mobility of human capital as part of their processes of vanguard and updating, in this way they will have alternative tools as trainers of future professionals. The objective is the importance of international mobility for the development of the teaching human capital of the Academic Unit of Accounting and Administration of the Autonomous University of Nayarit. A mixed approach methodology was used in the research; the quantitative and qualitative results of a survey conducted through online forms are presented. Based on the information gathered from teacher’s opinion, we intend to identify the importance of the internationalization of higher education. It is concluded that teachers consider important the creation of research and exchange networks, which serve for skills development. Additionally, internationalization encourages the inclusion of future professionals to the labor field and their social linkage, benefiting the academic unit and the university itself.
