Community sustainability in small and medium enterprises in the municipality of Capulálpam de Méndez

The predominant companies in any country are micro, small and medium (SMEs); and it is not the exception for the state of Oaxaca, it is here where there is a diversity of SMEs that are dedicated to production and service, they contribute to job creation, wealth generation and above all to satisfy needs, these companies are characterized over time to survive and stay on the market. The objective of this study is to analyze what elements of community sustainability are carried out in the SMEs of the municipality of Capulálpam de Méndez. From the approach of good living, the hypothesis where the indicators economic efficiency, social equity and social responsibility of community sustainability influence so that SMEs perceive community sustainability to a greater degree was proposed. For this purpose, 45 interviews were conducted with owners or managers of SMEs using a structured questionnaire as a measurement instrument. Obtaining as a result that community sustainability is related to each of the indicators in which, social equity is the one with the greatest effect. The cultural elements that take place within the community are key factors.
