The present work is a reflection on the current situation of the village of San Felipe, which is based on fishing activity, however, due to the modification of the NOM-002-1993-PESC, where asked to change the current fishing art, the dinghy line, to trawl fishing, and then expand the area where the trawl fishing is specifically prohibited, fishermen and the community are seriously threatened. This for the sake of a supposed sustainability for the preservation of a marine mammal that despite take years protecting it, it has not been able to recover. The central question of this paper is whether the public policies conservationists are truly sustainable or are only looking for the sustainability of a species at the expense of society .Trough this reading is looking for a thoughtful analysis, abstract to level of diagnosis.
