Abstract

The main objective of the following work is to summarize some of the background and factors that facilitate knowledge management (GC), in the same way it is intended to define the barriers that limit the processes through which knowledge passes through the organization. To do this, it seeks to address the (GC) from the perspective of organizational culture (CO), and how this relationship affects the competitiveness of organizations. To carry out this objective, a systematic review of a considerable group of scientific resources contained in different databases (Scopus, Elsevier and Emerald) with a high indexation level is used, this information corresponds to the last five decades of the relationship between variables, emphasizing those contributions that set the course in which these constructs were developed. The result of the systematic review allows to deepen the background elements, the facilitators and the main barriers so that the relationship between these constructions can be effective. As a result of the review, it can be indicated that future studies that consider analyzing these constructs and their relationship may focus on the exploration of said problem in emerging economic contexts, in the same way it is advisable to carry out comparative studies between said contexts. The relationship between constructs can be further explored through research that offers mixed observation methods.
