Abstract

This manuscript focuses on the recognition of the challenges and opportunities faced by the Durango fruit agriculturist, facing the possibility of taking advantage of the virtues of commercial conglomerations, well known as clusters.  

The investigation  presents an introduction of development panorama in the fruit-growing region of the municipality of Canatlán; through the analysis, of the institutional diagnosis of the organization, based on semi-structured interviews, providing the  basis for Porter Competitiveness Diamond analysis, and the SWOT Analysis, focused on the condition of basic factors or natural resources, defining the competitive advantages,  and determining the phase of the Cluster Life Cycle in which the Integradora de Productores de Manzana S.A. C.V. (IRPM).
