Competitiveness in SMEs in the municipality of Umán, Yucatán

The competitiveness of SMEs is relevant to analyze their development in the market, which increasingly requires better performance to remain relevant. Competitiveness must be analyzed comprehensively to have a better overview of these companies and know how they interact with their competitors. The objective of this article is to present an analysis of the level of competitiveness of SMEs in the municipality of Umán, Yucatán. The present work is with a quantitative and cross-sectional approach. In this research, the systemic competitiveness model was used, the study population was 95 companies with a sample of 77. The main findings of the work indicate that the companies studied have a high competitiveness index, where the quality assurance factor is one of the best evaluated, while the environmental management factor is one of those that obtained the lowest score.
